Saturday Night, Alright!!

This past Saturday night was one that I will not soon forget. My brother-in-law and myself went out for a guys' night out to take in the action on the Nautical Mile. Huge crowds at all the venues, especially Tropics on the Mile. A very long line of patrons waited to enter. E.B. Elliot's, Bamboo, Bracco's, Hurricane Harry's, Otto's, Hudson & McCoy and Bracco's were all jamming. Lots of music filled the air. Can't wait for Fourth of July!

Great Sunday Afternoon!

The Nautical Mile was in full swing this past weekend. Lots of great bands. One that comes to mind is East Coast, which performed at Cabana 435. Sounded just great. JC Cove, Bracco's, E.B. Elliot's, Otto's and Tropix also had large crowds and good vibes. Things will only get hotter as summer progresses. I will be there, so should you!

Memorial Weekend 2012

Although the Nautical Mile was not as busy as expected last weekend, there were several highlights. The opening of The Bamboo Bar & Grill, as well as Tropix on the Mile are two outstanding and welcome additions. Great appearance and atmosphe. Bracco's has a revamped and more energetic atmosphere as well. Plan on being on the Mile this evening.

Party Time on the Mile

Friday night was one for the books. The atmosphere was so lively. I spent most of the night at Hudson & McCoy. The band was Alive 'N Kickin'. They played everything from Journey, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson to their own No.1 song "Tighter, Tighter", which topped the charts in the 70's. They really put on a good show. The crowd was certainly into it. Bracco's, Bonito, Otto's, JC Cove, Landshark, E.B. Elliot's were also jumping. What a great night!

Freeport Nautical Festival 2010

We made the mistake of arriving at this year's festival shortly after noon. It was so hot that my sister, nephew, God sister, niece and myself were only able to stay for two hours. We got there early because thunderstorms were in the forecast for later in the afternoon. Well, needless to say there was not a hint of moisture. We took my little niece on the kiddie rides, got some cold drinks, then went to dinner at Crab Shack. Our food was good as usual. We then went for ice cream at Carvel's. Although the temps were only in the high 80's, it certainly felt closer to 100 degrees. Couldn't wait to get inside for some relief from the scorching sun.

Things Were Hopping

I went down to the Nautical Mile this past Saturday, and was again amazed by the buzz of activities taking place. The sidewalks and restaurants were very crowded, and the music was booming at most of the outdoor bar/clubs. I, along with everyone else just got lost in it all. I just love what this special place provides. It is truly a getaway from the ordinary.
